Is the fan, water pump, and harmonic balancer the only things I remove to get to the timing chain cover ?

Also, seen another video where a guy spread hi-temp RTV on the surface where the timing cover gasket is placed to keep the gasket in place while installing the timing cover...

Sounds good, should I do that ?

It was explained earlier about the need to drop the pan to get a good angle installing the cover or some will trim the flange lip corners to help w/installation.
I don't know how far back it was so you'll need to re-read through the posts. The seal that goes against that lip on the cover & butts up to the oil pan rail needs to be fixed in place so it doesn't shift around during the install. RTV/sealant/silicone sometimes doesn't do a great job holding it in place.

It was recommended to me when doing the task the way you're doing it to use gasket glue to keep it where it needs to be. That info was probably mentioned in the previous posts as well.

Every install will require a different approach based on how your doing things & the parts being used.
