Timing Chain Inspection and Replacement

Is the fan, water pump, and harmonic balancer the only things I remove to get to the timing chain cover ?

The seal that goes against that lip on the cover & butts up to the oil pan rail needs to be fixed in place so it doesn't shift around during the install. RTV/sealant/silicone sometimes doesn't do a great job holding it in place.

It was recommended to me when doing the task the way you're doing it to use gasket glue to keep it where it needs to be.

I tried using Gorilla Glue adhesive spray to stick the gasket to the timing cover, let it dry overnight, but didnt stick when I test installed the cover... Obviously didnt work...

Researching "gasket glue" I come across these... Which one am I looking for...?

Or how about this E6000 industrial strength liquid adhesive ?

You don't need to **** with the oil pan. Tin snips and RTV.
Tin snips and RTV...

These tin snips, and you want me to cut here ? (the back outter lip of the timing cover )

and what RTV ? The gasket kit came with Grey RTV Silicone
