Is the fan, water pump, and harmonic balancer the only things I remove to get to the timing chain cover ?

The answer to your specific question is within that linked explanation if you don't trim the inner guide piece.

If you trimmed the inner cover, you may/may-not need to pry the pan down slightly. It will depend on if the cover will slip in w/o messing w/the pan.

Ran into an issue...

The snips I bought don't cut the timing cover metal...

Had to go buy a Dremel this morning to cut the timing cover...

Interesting so I thought I should ask...

I know you guys said to cut the tips at a 45° angle, but what about this ?

Seen this in a Z28 forum...

Just so it's clear, precisely how much of the tips needs to be cut off ?

I don't have another timing cover or the funds to buy one, so I'm making sure I know how much before I cut off too much...

Is this too much ? (Red paint marks)
