Is the fan, water pump, and harmonic balancer the only things I remove to get to the timing chain cover ?

Why not buy the same style that you took off? At least the same angle.
That angle position wasn't good for the new throttle return bracket...

Currently I have a home fabricated bracket that sits high, and the hose runs under the throttle return spring...

The new bracket is shorter and angles the spring down...meaning my current routing wouldn't work...

You are 100% it will bolt up to your engine. But that’s like saying all headers that bolt up to a sbc will fit your car.

The video you posted showing the swap to the flexible hose is on a much older SBC that does not use a serpentine drive and has a passenger side upper hose. Yours hooks up to the driver side and you have a serpentine drive to get around.

This is my OEM upper radiator hose routing...

My current housing is the wrong housing to begin with...I hate that I have to remove my upper radiator hose to remove my driver side valve cover...
