Getting rid of our Duramax just so my Boss could have a prettier truck was insane. Not insane miles for diesel, no DEF and no major issues. I carried big loads with it, it didn't need 4000 rpm to get up and go. It did run hot towing a big load, going fast but just needed the rad and intercooler washed out, gravel roads and bugs. It is the 380 ft/lbs number is why I don't give it a pass. When I first put my 403, even with 2.56 gears in my 88 CSC, it would spin both tires like hell, Powertrax No Slip and suck me back in my seat, once I added decent exhaust. It still blazed one tire with a terrible exhaust system. That is what 350 ft/lbs feels like. I don't get that feeling at all with this truck till 3500 rpm empty or 4000 rpm towing. It's not mine, so I can't unleash all the well hidden power GM left in this thing, it doesn't make the drive very exciting, unless the pedal is to the metal.
