Tailgate badge. Quite a bit larger than I expected. But MUCH better shape than the one I got about a week ago with oxidation and cat hair. I’ll have to eyeball it on the car to see if I’m going to keep it.

5th or 6th water neck gasket, Indian Head Gasket Shellac Compound. Better f*ckin seal this time.

If you put the Permatex on right and it didnt work the Indian Head sure as hell wont work

Is that sending unit for the wagon? If so, it won't work........

What was the problem with it? Looked again. Is a little concerning that it's the same part number as for the coupe. The two tanks are completely different. If I replace the "sock," is the stock one salvageable if it's in otherwise good condition?

Salvageable? Does the gauge work? Yes, you can just replace the sock. Even if the resistor is bad, it can be fixed: get a Bosch universal sender and rob the resistor out of it- $20.
If an eRod is the eventual plan, you may want to go ahead and put the electric pump in with something like the Aeromotive Phantom while the tank is new and clean.....
