What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

Got tags for the first time in nearly two years after I got her running last Wednesday. Been driving it a little here and a little there and today went on about a 150 mile drive around central Iowa. Runs good, 0-60 is in the 6-7 second range. Doing some math it's probably got about 250ish hp at the crank which is right about where I thought it'd be with 8-1 and stock heads and intake. Cruises BEAUTIFULLY but really needs new shocks and springs. I don't wanna rip my nice new downpipes and cherry bombs off. Also, if you want the sound of open exhaust, but quiet, get a set of 12" Cherry Bombs. They don't even crackle or pop at all. Real nice tone to them. Also fixed that oil pressure problem. Two 9/16ish cup plugs. RTV around the edge and tapped em in. 50psi cold idle, bout 23psi when hot at idle. Idles a bit high, and seems to be running a tad lean, but that ain't no thing.

took my camaro spindle to a friend's race shop to taper ream the hole for the lower ball joint. I was talking with his dad and brother and when he said he was done it turned out he reamed it on an angle. Ordered another spindle today.....kinda pissed but oh well

Mrsony 150 miles, that means you were in my neck of the woods! Good work my friend!
Basically went on a round trip from Downtown Des Moines to altoona, ankeny, bondurant and then back again. Used about 3/4 tank going an average of about 55mph with a few, lets say "spirited" sprints from 0-60.

Just got my trunk lid from paint jail. Hope to have it on this weekend, so I can start driving my car again. Painter said week, week and a half. Two months later I have it. The reason I didn't paint it my self is because it would have took me to months to do it my self. Babies complicate things.

I changed an upper control arm. I use the UB Machine tubular and I had to cut 1/2" off the 8" A arms and re-weld them so I could get the alignment specs I wanted. I dropped the car another 1/2" with the tall lower ball joints so the upper swung up enough so I thought I could use the full 8" A arm. I had the shaft turned to give the longest arm on my old one so I turned the shaft which moves the arms 1/4" in and added 2 1/8" alignment shims front and back. Eyeballing it the wheel looks to be in the same position with the new A arm as it did with the old A arrm so I'm happy....even though I got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes yesterday...
