Brought home a replacement for my 301, a 1967 400!


During disassembly, found these little guys in the lifter valley and oil pan. Broken push rods.

here is the video of the first fire up. header gasket leak on drivers side i forgot and left 2 bolts out and the others loose. and fine tune the timing and carb.

not only looks great it will stop stuff from falling into the opening and plugging up the drain hole...

Thank you. It is not a kit, I made all the panels. Took awhile to get the fit I wanted.

I did my front brakes. The pads would not fit over the rotors. See topic: https://gbodyforum.com/threads/weird-brake-pads-issue.61261/ Then I managed to break my front license plate bracket so I had to fabricate a new one. The broken one had rusted so this time I used a section of swimming pool top deck. It is made of extruded aluminum so that should hold up better.

I was about to track down a suspected vaccum leak, car studdered a little at light throttle and deceleration. When I removed the air cleaner I noticed I messed up my vaccum lines the other day and had the distributor vaccum line on a ported vaccum....
