Washed, Waxed, shined the tires, cleaned the dash. Also my inner front fender was loose so it got all fixed up.

My other post messed up, stupid phone service. Got to see painted jambs and misc parts on wed. Got the cutlass assembled and as said, tucked away now to patiently wait for paint time!

Looks good!
Thanks man, been a long time coming. Hell, ive had the car since 2001, but the body off resto started in dec of 2011...literally not 1 bolt, nut, etc has been untouched. A couple unplanned career changes slowed the progress, but it never stopped!
I had a very similar color locked in as a choice for years, but in the sun it had too much of a purple hue to it. Then i saw the new version of this color about a year ago and was hooked. Sooner or later the cutlass will hopefully turn some heads here in Louisville...with all the subtle mods there won't be another one like it around!

It's got to feel good getting so close! 5 years  My frame has only been pulled for 6 months and it feels like its been too long!
It honestly feels somewhat bittersweet! Not being able to work on it but maybe 1 or 2 days a week has made the progress slow going....but its progress. The car has been at my bodyguy's house since halloween of last year, but the bodywork didn't really get going until this spring. He wanted it done and gone by turkey day so we are behind schedule as usual, but he knows i will be showing it so extra effort has been made to get it as close to perfect as possible! I will try not to slow down this thread much more....if you are interested there are more details in my "87 cutlass efi build thread".

I here ya on 6 months feeling like forever, patience is key....just keep at it and before ya know it will be back on the road!

Today I installed a new Cloyes timing chain and also located a pair of 5A heads /A4 intake for my 307 in a yard 3 miles away from my house! Going to hit them up Sunday.

Wow that is a great find! I've looked for 5A heads for 3 years and only seen pics lol. I also want one of those A4 intakes. Good to see someone is rescuing them from the scrapper!
