Wow that is a great find! I've looked for 5A heads for 3 years and only seen pics lol. I also want one of those A4 intakes. Good to see someone is rescuing them from the scrapper!
i have 3 sets of 5a heads and a4 intakes---375.00 shipped for pair of heads and intake. pm me if interested

Well, I haven't seen it in person but I'm hopeful. It's an '83 Delta 88 with a 307 so it should have what I'm looking for. Hopefully you're able to locate something soon!
I'll find one eventually. I wanted to build my 307 before building the Olds 350 but I couldn't find what I was looking for, so I went a different direction with my build.

Would have been nice to find this out months ago. I bought the 350 because I couldn't find what I wanted for the 307. Thanks for looking out tho. I will buy them, if they're there in a few months tho. I know jewels like this don't come around much. Right is not good time tho.

My trip to the yard for 5A heads / A4 intake was foiled, the car was crushed yesterday afternoon. I was directed to another yard 25 miles away which had another 83 Delta 88. The girl at the desk argued with me for about 2 minutes while going through her inventory because her computer told her that her heads and intake weren't compatible with my 85. I finally agreed with her and said I'd buy them anyway. When I found the car in the yard there was no motor in it. Sigh.

That sucks! Sorry man. I hate that that stuff got crushed when you could use it.

eww mice !!! Never have I had mice in any of my vehicles. All this week been enjoying driving the Monte. Even in the rain and cold its been a pleasure. When I drive the car I toss the car cover in the trunk ( I don't have a garage ). I noticed today the grime was building up on the old girl ( I don't like to cover it dirty ) so I decided to leave work early. On the way home I hit up the coin op car wash. Gave it a power wash then soaped it down, wiped it down with a wash mitt, simple green on the wheels and tires, then a nice rinse. I even had time left over to blow most of it dry.

Drove home and pulled out the bucket with the wash mitt. Then I removed and went to put on the car cover back on it and noticed it had a couple holes in it; actually looking closer it had a bunch of holes in it !!!! WTF, wifey and kids just gave me the car cover for fathers day last year! After a little searching I was damned to find a mouse nest in my spare tire well the size of a large softball !! The Bastages had eaten up my car cover to make their nest. They were nowhere to be seen but there are 6 snap traps with peanut butter and a dozen or so dryer sheets in the car now. Lets see what is in the traps in the morning. Damn vermin
