eww mice !!! Never have I had mice in any of my vehicles. All this week been enjoying driving the Monte. Even in the rain and cold its been a pleasure. When I drive the car I toss the car cover in the trunk ( I don't have a garage ). I noticed today the grime was building up on the old girl ( I don't like to cover it dirty ) so I decided to leave work early. On the way home I hit up the coin op car wash. Gave it a power wash then soaped it down, wiped it down with a wash mitt, simple green on the wheels and tires, then a nice rinse. I even had time left over to blow most of it dry.

Drove home and pulled out the bucket with the wash mitt. Then I removed and went to put on the car cover back on it and noticed it had a couple holes in it; actually looking closer it had a bunch of holes in it !!!! WTF, wifey and kids just gave me the car cover for fathers day last year! After a little searching I was damned to find a mouse nest in my spare tire well the size of a large softball !! The Bastages had eaten up my car cover to make their nest. They were nowhere to be seen but there are 6 snap traps with peanut butter and a dozen or so dryer sheets in the car now. Lets see what is in the traps in the morning. Damn vermin

Got off work yesterday and went to one of the local yards to treasure hunt...came across an astro van with the steering shaft still encased in the rubber boot. Went in with limited tools and wasn't able to pull the shaft before closing time.
Went back today well prepared and wasn't gonna be denied twice! 15 minutes later i walked out with a like new shaft for a whopping $13.87....SCORE!!!!

SUCCESSFULLY brought home an entire 307 today with 5A heads. Its got a #17 cast iron intake instead of the aluminum A4, but its not a peanut-port like the current A5 I have.
Wow what a find. Happy you got what you were looking for. One of the guys have a few 5A heads, hopefully they're not gone before I get the money to buy.

Yeah, good luck and I hope you find some. These things were a pain in the *ss to locate, its funny that I wound up finding them literally 5 miles down the road and got an entire engine for less than Pick and Pull wanted to charge for just heads/intake.

The guy was really cool and we hung out for a few talking about his project. He's just about done putting together a 76ish Olds 350 for his Cutlass. It looked good!

I found a guy that has 3 sets of 5A Head and A4 intake. If you're looking for the intake I can Pm you. I want to keep a set of heads for myself! ;-)

caught 3 so far. None in the car, all in the trunk. I must have opened something up when I did the rear body mounts back in the spring. I will take the car to work and shove some steel wool in the body mounts with a dose of fluid film today. I want them out before the car goes to storage.
