He has a Turbo under the hood, I would leave the caps the way they are.

So far I like my Torque Thrusts better. I like the turbo 6 emblems, but the caps are tall. I like the shorter caps better. I put that set on my car to see if I like the look, and what size of tire I would want. If I like it I may get a bigger drag radial mounted on the back of the other rims and sell just the set that is on my car. The Torque Thrusts will fit my Nova aso. Just keeping my self entertained until I can hop up my engine, then the turbo six emblems have to go. (Sleeper statice)

Let us know what you think of those Cooper tires, I have been considering a set for my brand X car (Challenger)

Installed my new steering box !!!!! WOOOO HOOOO

So are you back on the road now? IIRC, this is a Lares box from Rock Auto, right? Were you upgrading from the OE 16:1 box? Do you have an impression about the difference in driving experience yet? (Is it safe to assume you've done the Cherokee/Astrovan steering shaft upgrade already?).

As you may know, I'm gathering ways to spend my money on my new '86 Elco/LT1 project. All constructive approaches toward that end greatly appreciated, but I don't want to throw any money away, thanks.

Oh, yeah, congrats on the milestone, regardless.

Cheers - Gary

I put a new serpentine belt on, the one on my GP was showing it's age but I'll keep it my trunk just in case. I also greased everything including the 4 UMI roto joints on my rear control arms. The UMI joints don't show any wear on them, they are as tight as when I put them on 4 years ago....:)

Finished polishing. Messed with seat belts. Thinking about engine and dash. Replenished easily reachable 20 gauge shells as wife dispatched venomous serpent in front yard and I re-directed Canadians in dove field. Fried fish for dinner and now have reached a state of pretty much sorryness.

Not back on the road yet. Still doing some more changes.

But this box is definitely tighter and more responsive

I had a Flamling River custom shaft in the car but I just installed a vented Jeep shaft with an internal stop just because it collapses and the custom one was solid

Went to see my Monte in the body shop...it's been in there for 9 months!!! No progress in the last two weeks. Too many excuses. It's not like he did a frame off restoration. I already gave him $3,000, so I'm hoping to get him to agree to give half of it back on a signed contract. Time to pull it, but in talking with the new potential body shop, he said let it stay there until I have all of the money ready for him, just so there won't be any delays. I don't need all of the money up front, but just good to have it. The car was stripped to bare metal and some body work was done....but I've missed an entire season of having my car. Complete waste of a year.
