The fun part will be figuring out why they melted.

I'll put my money on overheated resistors, they are passive crossovers. As far as what caused them to overheat I think the volume did it cause I'm running an Alpine PDX 4 channel for the fronts and backs. I was running an Alpine MRP 5 channel before that one and that one would shut down if I turned the volume up. I am using 2 channels of that one bridged to run my sub. I'll talk to my expert on Monday to see what he thinks

After installation of a new fuel filter, I tried to crank my GP again. Still nothing. I am getting fuel all the way to the throttle body now (after the new filter install). Now I have clogged injectors to fight. I am going to get a kit to put new gaskets in the throttle body. My friend says he can get the injectors working.

So close.

Posts #6&7 in this thread have some cool ideas on how to clean injectors....

Was out in the garage doing the Plastigauge on the mains just to find out either my torque wrench from my rifle work tool box is bad or my old *ss need to work out more. 75lbs, is it that hard to get done?

Built some tools out of some old junk.

Friday I drove mine to work. Did not know if I was going to make the 30 mIle trip. Engine keep loading up and flooding the engine at every stop. After work I looked over the choke and carb. I could not see anything wrong with it. It was blowing some soot out of the tail pipes though. I reved the piss out of it and it seemed to clear up. Makes me wonder if the cat is getting plugged up or heat riser not working correctly. The car ran the best it ever has all the way home. It was 45 that morning and 75 that night. I am getting sick of the draw through crap. Just want to keep it going to after the first and then I am going blow through. Today I washed and waxed my Torque Thrusts and put them back on.

Went to my friend's audio shop and he said that is from excessive volume as he put it. He showed me some crossovers that have a light that flashes if the volume is high and the signal is changed to a DC current. One of my tweeters was also fried so I put in one of my spares that is the same as what I had and I put in these older Alpine crossovers that can handle more than the ones I had....
