how far did the discussions go and there is over 350 miles between you and that piece of rusted metal, how were you going accomplish a trade
Oh I traveled that far, plus or minus 50 miles to nebraska for my SP 350. Traveling ain't no thing for me. It didn't get too serious, maybe 10 messages back and forth. I have a neighbor that has a trailer and a truck. He knows I'm responsible enough to use/operate it, and I always fill it with gas before I give it to him. Plus he has a crush on my mom, so that helps. lol.

If it at the very least had a dash, column, and a front clip I would've went further for it. I could've turned around and sold it for 5k if it was that complete.

It's a shame Hurst doesn't make these anymore.

Even though my carbs are working great according to my butt I'm tweaking them so I'll be happy with them according to my A/F gauge at all rpms. This is why I would never buy a new car cause I can't leave stuff alone....:blam:

I am the same but different, I actually bought the wife a newer car so I would have more time to work on the car and boat I cannot leave alone ( and enjoy driving more anyways ! ). Hell you got me the carb gaskets in April ?, I picked them up in August ? And they still sit on my desk and likely will until spring because my to-do list !

Tried out my new toy, a welder, and got the last broken bolt out of my donor engine. It was my first attempt at welding, and somehow, I got the job done. I tried several times to weld a nut on, but that didn't work. I did manage to build up the bolt so that I could knock it around with the chisel to break it lose. The bad part is that my eyes hurt from not getting the visor down fast enough one time too many.
Get an auto-darkening hood. There is no other way to fly. Mine is a Miller with no garrish colors or graphics and I swear by it.

Kept running up the odometer. We drove it to a dealership to drop off Natasha's Colorado - people didn't know what to make of it. I had some lady stopped dead in her tracks and staring at a gas station on the way back (the car was just chopping away...); and had a nice conversation with another lady while paying. Come to think of it the attendant was a little perplexed too.

Perhaps the crowning moment was us yelling over the car at the Tim Hortons drive thru window. Unfortunately I had to shut it off so Natasha could get her coffee and bagel.
"I'm sorry sir, what was your order"....."potato, potato, potato, potato, potato"
