Found out that an 11.3oz Folgers Classic Roast coffee can lid (plastic container) is a snug fit on a .030 Buick 350 piston. So, uh. Yep.

Went to my local speed shop SK SPEED to pick up some plugs for the power steering box so it's not squirting fluid all over the place

$45 BUXX?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? for 2 AN fittings!!!!!!!!!!

Total *ss hats!!!!!!!!!!!

So I went into the scrap pile and got out an old PS hose cut off the fittings and welded them up with a shielded wire mig.

What a mess!!! At one point I think I sent my sneaker on fire from all the spatter!!!

Then I painted my BOP manual trans bell housing. 5 minutes after that it starts pouring rain!! 😡

I hear ya. Weather said slight chance of rain so I was under the wagon fixing an exhaust leak. Next thing I know it is raining cats and dogs. When I ran inside the NOAA radio said Suffolk County was under a severe thunderstorm notice with wind, hail, lightning, and flash flooding. It came down hard and fast and I'm in Queens! But the exhaust leak is fixed.

Trimmed one of the rear springs a bit, and ground flats into them both to get a better engagement on the hats. Got the back end back down to 27" to 27.25"

Detailed it a bit inside and out. I am almost ashamed to admit that I haven't done much of anything to clean up the interior since I bought it 4 years ago. My cloths were black by the time I was done - gross. Now I don't have to touch it again for another 4 years! 😉

Hope to be taking Tatiana to watch some autocross this afternoon - we are hoping to be back at it next Summer. In the wagon?

I found an exhaust leak where the passenger manifold meets the down pipe. I am deathly afraid of trying to move those nuts in fear of them breaking off.

But on the upside for the first time since I bought this car I am not leaking anything.
