What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

Spent about 15-20 minutes after work using my dad's vice to press out the factory trunnions on the LS rockers. I started cleaning them at home and realized we have plans dangit! Gonna finish cleaning them later and hopefully do the trunnion upgrade in the next couple days.

Went for a drive to watch my grandson's hockey game in Listowell ON and on the way back while still in Listowel I was sitting at a red light and an OPP pulled up behind me. Soon as I took off his lights came on so I pulled to the side and curious as to why he pulled me over. He comes up to my car and "oh sweet, you have a stick in the car and that's why you sat at the light with no brake lights" We had a nice conversation and I'm glad he didn't spot the donut I had picked up with my coffee, he probably would have confiscated that...😀

Spent a few more hours stripping the sedan. Must be my lucky day. because all the seatbelt bolts came out with normal tools, and ALL the body bolts came out. Weren't even rusted thin ...looked as good as the day they went in.

Gee, I sure miss the days of living in the rusty upper midwest...not.

Went to Taylor’s salvage and picked up a hood off a 84 monte I needed. 50 bucks and no dents better than trying to fix mines which looked like it’s been through hell and back in my opinion.

Cleaned up all the LS rockers last night in hot soapy water, dried them off and let em sit until today.....

Since I had a little time to kill, I went ahead and got the trunnion upgrade done!!! Took longer than expected, and ended up using my dad for vice loosen and tighten duty because it seems like you need 10 arms! They spin smoothly, clips are on, and back in the coffee can they went until the heads are installed.
