What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

I put in an order for an oil pan gasket and a ported vacuum switch. Now the fun part comes when I have to drop the oil pan to replace the seal. Not sure the full process but heard that I have to raise the motor and remove the motor mounts to get the right clearance to remove the pan.

I took a little drive to my friends store to have a coffee with him, on the way back the GP died. I had gas and no spark so it was either the MSD box or the MSD coil. The nice thing with the MSD E curve distributor I run it works with or without a box and I have it wired so I just have to unplug the orange and red wire going to the box from the distributor and plug them into the spade connectors I have on the coil. I tried my spare coil and still no spark so it was the box. I don't trust the MSD boxes too much so that is why I have it wired the way I do. I also have the spare MSD coil and a spare E curve distributor just in case. I plugged the two wires into the coil to by pass the box and fired her up....🙂

That has happened to me more than once, I run the same setup on my small blocks. WHEN the MSD box fails, I can always run just the distributor.

The mighty forced air Olds 260/TH2004R and 3.42 ready for the open road in my 88 Cutlass, Dr Olds Mileage Machine. How come these trans always leak somewhere no matter how many seals you throw at them. Only tightened the pan down 4 times.
