Gave the coupe donor chassis a washing, culled some parts, moved some stuff around to get the chassis inside (not inside yet). Came to realize that there are way too many parts collected for "just in case". Trying to fit all these cars into my small building is making me nuts.

Looks like the 2 door wagon project is going to have to go outside under the wellhouse lean-to. I just hate putting non-weathertight cars outside, but realistically, I have not seen a decent donor for it in over a year...been a couple possibles, but CL flakery always seems to rear it's head. Might just wind up putting the B pillar (saved out of the 82 sedan, "just in case" 🙄 ) back in it and going back to being a 4 door wagon.

Repainted my hood satin black with single stage urethane.

Assembled an aluminum driveshaft and prep'd the Monte for the 8.5". Gonna be silly driving around with the V6 and 4.56s...

Did some more boxing of the frame.. Just a couple spots left... Deciding whether to grind welds down to make it look nice....

Speaking of aluminum driveshaft....the hunt continues. All I've found so far are 4wd TB's. Question, does the 2wd Envoy share the same DS?
Probably.

So I have this little tradition where I celebrate my birthday with a burnout. Well the Monte was going to have none of it on dry pavement... interestingly it had enough grip to push through the front brakes. And this dinky little Buick V6 breaks the tires loose on the 1-2 shift - seriously - every time. 4.56s for everyone!

I'll just toss down a bucket of water tomorrow and make up for my disappointment. 😉
