Just putting epoxy over the plugs is a temp fix. To fix leaky Qjet plugs right, you have to drill the bad ones out, then tap the bosses for screw in plugs which you coat the threads with epoxy.
I usually install the o-ring plugs and then epoxy. I test for leaks, then I'm good to go. Never had a leak either, but only time will tell. Actually... what amount of time is acceptable to have a carb rebuilt again? 5 years? 10? 15? Or is it mileage dependent? Or just when it starts giving grief? It's a never ending cycle. At one point or another, a carb will always need rebuilt.

when i worked for a gm dealership, we used finger nail polish. now I'm no chemist, but i was told the polish was impervious to gasoline.
i used this in my 79 calais, and it lasted 14 years. and will be redone this winter on all my cars.

I starred at my Malibu and became sad as I have to wait until spring/summer to start anything 🙁. More money to save for tools and stuff though. 🙂

Finished notching the frame and starting to box it.. By no means a pro but it will do.

I hope you remembered to box the frame with 1/2" plate.
