Since we were in a terrible cold snap of 50+ degrees F here in Denver, I pulled out the seatbelts, console and remaining carpet. Some more build quality as the shifter cable is run under the grommet and metal retainer instead of through it. Started making braces for the rear lower control arms. (Copied the design seen on a member's Grand Prix frame)

I decided to brave the cold(not near as cold as you northerners) and put some more oil in the LS, snugged down the valve covers which still need paint but too cold to paint, an taped off all the ports.View attachment 79335
Your Hot Rod parts amidst the bikes crack me up Scott. Reminds me of good times with Dad trying to put bikes together on Christmas Eve from layaway at K-Mart (late 80's/early 90's). Nothing would line up and we would be out there in the garage drilling/tapping/swearing getting it done. It always got done but we smartened up and always had a can of pink spray paint in the garage for future "crisis".

Lol, working with the space I have, or don't have Jared. Until we can buy another house with a garage, I'm stuck working out of a 10x10 shed. What you don't see is the Barbie Jeep powerwheel that I have to move out before anything can be done lol!
Normally I move most of the bikes and such out, but wasn't doing anything serious today to warrant such action.
Luckily I have a patient and understanding wife! I have Cutlass parts organized in big totes in our family room, as well as my new wheels stacked in the corner.

For the last three years my 350 was jammed up against bikes, as you witnessed, so I totally get it.

Got my fuel pump into the sending unit and in the tank. Soooo much easier when you can get an EFI tank!!! Need to degrease and shoot some undercoating onto the tank. Thank god for the heated garage. -30c/-26f here tonight. ☹️

Got my car positioned in the garage, with enough room to shut the door. Jacked it up, now the f*cking door won't shut. It's resting on the bumper now, the car magically moved back 5 inches I guess. Contemplating just taking the damn bumper off. It's only 4 nuts. Said f*ck it and put cardboard up to cover the gaps. Got the transmission on a low profile harbor freight floor jack under the car ready to be pumped up into place tomorrow.

Dragged a crusty 4.8L home on a nasty cold day. Because Canadian hot rodding.

I haven't driven the wagon since Friday night. But it's been so cold even in the garage that the snow and ice still hasn't melted off of it. So I made a lap around and kicked the slush boulders off from behind each wheel. I'm thinking of washing it tomorrow. I DO have hot and cold water in the garage, with a floor drain. 😀

changed the sensor in the trans pan, plumbed the temporary pressure gauge in the case so i can see what the pressures are so i can decide on what changes can be made with the valve body, governor and pump come spring time. strained the fluid looked 100%.
