Willing to bet the ratio of blown up LS to Buick 350s is at least 5:1. This engine was never even meant to be in the car this long. Just goes to show things never go as planned. Sometimes you end up with an extra vent in your block.

Need to change the ol. I keep hearing the story about bricking the gas pedal on a diposable engine to see what happens. Time for a 455?
if i find a good deal i wouldnt be opposed, the main thing is having to make custom mounts. No welder. nor do i know how. 455s have more oiling issues than 350s though.
Both. There's a bit of conjecture about it though, some say "oh I just dropped it in and it fit perfectly" while others had to do this and that to make it work. I haven't been able to get a clear answer. The few of you on here that have a 455, speak up lol. That's the reason why I went with a 350 Buick in the first place. No ****ing around with mounts or anything. Just drop it in.
