What did you do to your G-Body today? [2019]

Oil change, inflated tires to 45 lbs, filled the tank and put Stabil in it, put wax on all of the chrome outside and under the hood and put it in the car bubble for winter.

Stripped all my fuel injection wiring out and changed the TBI unit over to carb. Set all the linkages back up and marveled at how much less crap is under there. Still have to put the inner fender back on and fire it, but I still have a couple days before the bottom drops out on the weather.

Got everything back together and took it to work today. Runs awesome, but now that I have the AFR gauge to look at, I can see that I need different metering rods as I am lean off idle but running 13.0-13.2 on no load cruise.

Guess the car gods demand their tithe.

So, are you admitting defeat to the evil of EFI? What's the backstory? I see MS in your sigline. I assume this is the Bonneville with the aborted 4.3 turned 350?

The Megasquirt doesn't seem to compensate for temperature changes like it should. My AFR's go nuts after the temperature changes, and I got tired of loading a different tune in for every 5-10 degrees of temperature change.

Also, the community support is total crap unless you are running a Miata or a 6 turbo monster.

It would be a great setup for a drag car, but kinda sucks for a daily driver.

I laugh because my uncle put one on a turbo Miata, and can't say enough good things about it!

Not that I know your setup but have done several cars on Megasquirt that were daily drivers and still passed emissions in Texas and North Carolina back in the early 2000's, never had a problem with temperature
