Got the rebuild kit put in my carb, and got it back on the road for some comparison testing. With all the factory sized springs, jets, and metering rods reinstalled it actually runs a little lean in the midrange but perfect at full throttle and perfect at lean cruise. I changed to my smallest set of metering rods, which helped but not enough so tomorrow it gets pulled apart for the next size up primary jets. (98 to 102)

It's also shiny as hell now.

I swapped my radio over to the Pontiac unit that I had on the shelf. The other one worked fine, but I felt like changing things up a little.

I also did a little test and tune today. I got my carb almost right before I managed to hit a skunk. After that, it got parked in the far driveway to air out.

Well yesterday not technically today I just didn’t have time to post it yesterday! I got the t-tops taken apart on the 87 clean up and inspected the rust it’s not as bad as I thought it would be ordering new plates for it already an gonna weld new metal in

then on the 83 I got the quarter panel primered next is the hood then the whole car will be white an body work is done

I also got the painted bezel an Bluetooth navigation double din in the dash of the 83

I finally got to dive in to the car after a year in storage. Got it up on jacks and the wheels off to be sent to get new tires some time this week. Hate it on the jacks, always scares me that its gunna fall.

I started planning wiring up the auto dim/compass/temp/map light mirror (GNTX-221 for this interested) but found that I'll probably have to make a stand alone harness for power and such. The other map light mirror I had in before would have the lights come on when the door is opened and also controllable with the switches. A quick test of this new mirror proved the opposite, the lights would come on when the doors were opened or closed and never shut off. That's not right. I didn't expect it to work the same but was hopeful still. Back to the drawing board.

I bought a ShelterLogic 24' by 12' wide by 10' for the GP and had to move the GP today so I could finish up the frame. We got a few inches of snow today so it was fun trying to move the GP around. When I was backing up to park the GP the rod for the master clutch popped off the clutch pedal. This is strange cause it is a new nylon retainer, the previous one snapped a few teeth off it when I removed everything this past spring and the previous one had been in my GP for a few years without a problem. I'll pull the pedal assembly this winter, put in new bushings and drill a hole in the pin so I can use what the brake pedal uses to keep it in place....

You sure it doesn't have a timer built in? You might even get lucky with theater dimming!
