What did you do to your G-Body today? [2019]

Well today I took advantage of the nice weather. Gus the guy I purchased the GN rear from helped me remove the 7.65 from the Salon, and swap in the 8.5. Tomorrow the Salon is going to my body man for prep and paint. Gonna put a used set of tires on until I'm ready to put the 442 rallys on. Gus brought me a 87 GN trans and hardened and billet parts from one he had built. 20190426_145038.jpg20180208_103744.jpg20161015_185447.jpg20190426_192706.jpg20190426_130236.jpg20190426_133652.jpg20190426_142640.jpg20190426_145032.jpg20190426_144327.jpg20190426_161715.jpg20190426_150345.jpg20190426_161827.jpg20190426_195257.jpg20190426_145042.jpg

Finally devoted some time to finish building the trans cooler lines. There's a slight chance I'll need to dimple the trans tunnel, but for now they clear. I also torqued the bolts on the converter, and removed the 3 speed Hurst shifter in prep for the new one.View attachment 112269View attachment 112270

You can run the lines straight forward and then up and over/through to your cooler. I found it keeps the lines moving more direct and away from heat. Just a thought.

I'll keep that in mind Mike, thanks. If I point the fittings straight forward they hit the tunnel, if I point them down on a 45 similar to how they come out of a TH350, 400, etc they clear just fine. Once I get the starter on I'll look to see if there is room to squeak them by.
