Replaced my old tired air shocks with Bilsteins today. Can't wait to see how they ride. PS My car sat about an 1.5" to low and these brought it up to the prefect height. Oh and yes they did not hold air at all lol.
Shocks are there to dampen the springs, not support the car. Get a new set of Moogs for $50, and do it right.

If you are using an extension, which I imagine you are to get out in the driveway, get the biggest, thickest one you can find. If you're feeling adventurous, just tap that b*tch off the pole out front!
Back when i first started doing gutters we would run homemade jumpers from the house weather head to the gutter machine. The old guys at work made them. We dont use them anymore because hooking it up was sketchy and probably illegal. Im using a 10 ga. Extension cord on 20 amp breaker. The breaker runs the washing machine and basement lights. So i always make sure theyre off while welding and I dont have any problems.

Still out here enjoying the street rod nationals. The cutlass is getting some great feedback, and I have a lot of spotted pics to post later. Until then, a sideshot...

Pulled the bad bolts out of the body mounts of the new trunk floor. I like how nice it'll be to prep to install. Will just have to deal with the passenger side mounts. And see if I can save the '78-'80 Regal tail panel.

Well............been to busy and have done nothing to the car. Decided to drive tomorrow and went to start up and wash. Battery dead as can be. A perfect ending to a totally effed up day. I hate to do work to do work but that summarizing my day mowing and discing the place along with wife PO'd at me saying my side of our new select bed was to soft. I changed it to experiment. We just got it a few weeks ago and from the factory it comes with 100 settings but ended up setting it to what we initially set randomly. I set back so i was the same side as wife and that made her happy. I mean really!!!! F me
Sorry i am a bit effing grumpy..........

I had issues with the GP stalling pulling up to stop signs and red lights. If I took my foot of the gas and shifted into neutral the IAC would go down to 05 then go up allowing too much air and then stalling. Fast handheld has a screen for setting up the IAC and I had it in the green area so I could not figure out the issue. I called the Fast helpline and 2 seconds into the conversation the guy asked if I had a standard. I said yes, he said set the idle IAC at 05 to 10 and done use the screen. I tried set the IAC at 05 at idle today and the GP is alot more user friendly and doesn't stall...I am going to try is at different counts up to 10 but with this sytem you have to run a setting for a while for the system to learn it....when you put the paramaters in when your first set up the system they do not ask manual or automatic. There is no info in the instructions to set up a manual. They must get MSD to write their instructions....

and on the way back I stopped off at a Mennonite Mexican restaurant my son's wife told me about, they got real Mexican food there and the food is great, peppers are nice and warm... 🙂
