Started prep work on the trunk floor to seperate the unneeded metal & to save the Regal tail panel. Pulled the divot at the rear drivers side mount, looked over the two passenger side mounts to see if I can save them which I'm thinking I can. Then I'll have to deal with the cleaning of all the undercoating that right now a blessing & a curse.

Started getting busy on the G wagon. Removed original bench seat and welded in the additional mounts for bucket seats and the rear console mount too.
Yes, i know my welding sucks but its amazing how good i got once i tuned the gas on. Lol.
Then i mounted the firebird seats i nabbed from the upull yard. These seats are wonderfull to sit in on long trips.

Saturday evening went to a cruise in about 30 miles east, only G bodies were mine, a ratty 85 Cutlass and this sweet 1988 black w/tan MCSSs. <25,000 original miles

Sanded the Trunk rim got rid of other rust spots, 3 coats primer, 2 of those coats Sealer then etching primer. Painted, awaiting my shipment of clear coat but trunk rim will get touched up on area's missed then clear coated:popcorn:.

Yesterday Passenger side got painted except the area of rust eaten through on the quarter panel and the other half of the roof, other wise ready for clear coat as well. Trunk lid will be coming off soon.

Was looking through old pics, top one is from June 2015 right before the Cutlass went off for final bodywork and paint. Bottom is from Saturday at the Street Rod Nationals. Rona hurt the crowd, but there were still over 7k+ cars and got lots of positive feedback 😀. Glad to see the stance leveled out now, looks much better. Still need to post all the spotted pics, gonna take a bit though!

I did some more playing with the efi system, 05 IAC may not be a real 05. The 05 is the minimum the reading goes to but you can adjust it past the 05 and it will cause a lag when accelerating from a stop......it would probably be easier to teach a dinosaur to eat with the knife and fork than trying to teach me this new "high" tech stuff....

Took the cars to Cars N Coffee, looks like it is going to be a big event going forward there since the regular one decided to not do any shows this year. My buddies made me leave it early so that we could go and get some Fiori's pizza

Welding. I am not a good welder. Nor will I think I'll ever be. But therr is less rust on the car when I started so that's good.
Had to make a patch for the patch. Don't let your drunk friends cut patches. It's the "7" shaped piece in the corner. I jacked the corner of the car with it and it holds so far. Still some holes to fill. It will be on the road again hopefully by the end of this month.

Practice makes perfect. Don't say that you'll never be good at it. That's a defeatist attitude. It's like learning anything else. We all start out as novices and try to improve our skills.
