found that the history with the 327 I've been putting off putting back together for the regal, has come to an end... already bored .040" over, and found warping in at least 2 cylinders, around the water jackets. if I can feel the low spots with my finger, I know I won't be able to hone it out, or bore it out even more.... any ideas other than a big block or LS?

I will be putting in another SBC motor when mine dies. I've got a 350 4 bolt main waiting. If you have a good distributor and the timing is set up right I think a SBC runs great, has tons of upgrades available, and is the most economical option. You can go as wild as you want with it.

The LS is probably great and people say they are cheap but by the time you have to buy new headers or full exhaust, motor mounts, oil pan to work with our steering, and whatever else is needed to adapt it to a G Body it isn't worth it to me. To each his own.

Call up a local machine shop and see what it would cost to have it sleeved. Could be worth it or it may not.

Anyone got a connect on a nice reproduction 80s era dome light?

Having a hard time finding anything

I like the idea of the Series II swap from a 4th Gen F body that Bruce did. A lot of wiring though. A supercharged Series II would be very cool.

I do like the idea of something just a little different.. I’ve been toying with the idea of a newer model 3.6 out of a caddy cts. Since i bought my Deville, I really like the northstar, despite it’s bad name with head bolts… I’ve seen a few on copart, (some models were basically a oversized cts with right wheel drive), and thinking about picking up a parts unit and swapping out running gear (irs included).

I considered the digit tails for my Monte but once I saw how they work for a turn signal I changed my mind I'm usually turning left or right I never go up

I just don't like how they did the sequential mode for the Monte tail lights, I feel they should always flash towards the way you are turning, it makes no sense to me going bottom to top.
I totally agree, no idea why they would have done that in the first place. I believe the non 87/88 tails are the correct way just not ours, which makes me want to create my own tails anyways. I do like the look of the clear setups I have seen but that was what I wanted to do when I first redid the car

I am still playing with the head units trying to keep my hard headed plan to the max, we will see if the overseas input finally makes me give up at some point......
