Da hell is a flat?
Poor poor man-child. Clearly you have been beer deprived and limited to small quantities. Tis time to expand your horizons....

Luckily my buddy was able to stop over yesterday and figure her out, turned out to be the Ignition Control Module in the Distributor

Yes sir. Otherwise known as how you buy quantity of quality beer that doesn't come in large packs, often at a discount from the purveyor. Or, also enough beer to get through a ballgame. Either/or.

there was one group of guys I knew at my college, living together in a senior house, who would buy about 10 flats of the cheapest $5/flat (Old Milwaukee something-or-other) every week. have a party every Sat night outside, then collect all the cans and go buy more beer the next week

That's recycling at it's best

And you see, that's why they were in college...

If that doesn't demonstrate a grasp of mathematics (calculating how many people to invite to have a sufficient deposit refund to cover beer costs) and problem solving skills/logistics (the idea itself, advertising, networking, so on so forth) who knows what does.

Hey now, I was a poor college student once but could not resort to the Beast Ice most people did. I instead went for Key Ice until I got too many scars and the doctor told me I was starting to look rugged for the women. So I switch to American Light

Aaaaaah, I remember one night a buddies friends come up to party with us and we ran out of beer after the distributor closed. So decided to go to the baseball house party, hang out with them for a while drinking heavy and the friends of a friend starts dropping another buddys name they all went to school with there. Well after most of the baseball team passes we decided to take the keg from there back to our place to party the rest of the night. When we returned the keg we got a case or 2 for the following weekend

It's a 2-4 or a case of 24 minus half the box. Locally you used to able to score either a6-pack, or a 12 pack, or a case, aka a 24 pack or a 2-4 for short. I still have most of a 2-4 of PBR sitting nice and chilly in the downstairs fridge.

The nay-sayers and boo-hiss brigade who have no love for Pabst, they get their own line up and the back of the line starts two blocks over and three down. Bring yer own tent and bag and portable pisser; ya'll going to be there awhile. don't mind the periodic piles of grey dust; some folks just didn't get to the head of line soon enough.

Went back to sanding on the inner door shell and discovered a tear in the skin near one of the upper window location adjusters. So my next project gets to be opening the split; already done, and migging it back closed again. Not seeing any other damage or deflection on the adjacent metal so not too sure what caused the tear to occur.

Well, I revisited the steering column tonight to see if I could make something that'll allow the flash to pass dimmer work. Doing so showed I had a blonde moment. Not remembering the flush screw used under the dimmer was my undoing. Now it'll work since I took the parts column apart to see & now need to find a metric stud & nut to replace the screw. Time to dig out the parts catalog unless someone has what I need.
