Yea, we all say that.
Back To The Future GIF

Probably about once a month someone comes up to me and says "I have an old saw in my basement/garage/shed that I want to get rid of if you want to check it out/buy it/have it." 99% of the time those saws are old homeowner Homelites, Poulans, electric saws or other junk I don't care about. This is the 1% of the time that it wasn't junk.

Hee, Hee, Hee, Hee, Hee, Hee, the frost giants are awake and looking for victims! Enough snow fell here on the lake that a couple of ski hills in Wisconsin have opened for business!! Just by way of geographic amplification, I am actually located further north yet. Nothing here in the city but omens and portends abound in the districts.

Other matters.

These are the set of four corner brackets that I made to positively locate the hutch on my new project bench.

Detail shots. The presence of the weld is due to the fact that the angle that I used for them turned out to be cast steel and all of them fractured while i was using a hammer to make the bend. The cracks were not full length so I just applied a few tacks of Mig wire and ground it all down again. This isn't about pretty so there will be no touchups or paint. They still need to be drilled for their base screws but that is a tomorrow thing to do.

And here you can see how they will be placed. The securing screws will keep the hutch from moving back and forth if the bench has to be rolled away from its present location. Essentially, they are just fancy stops to keep the vertical structure in place.
