Grout on.

Getting closer to being able to get back to garage projects.

Looks great. You're over the hump. Are you going to seal the grout?

Thanks! It does feel good that it's getting close! Yeah we picked up one of those small bottle bush sealant kits.

Still need to put a coating of grout in the gap between the tub and the tile and add another layer on the outside corner.

Then the tub tile is done and get to move on to the tile in the floor. Picked up some newer interlocking plastic backed floating tile that a buddy used on his bathroom remodel that he said works really good. No mortar or backer, just an underlayment and grout so looking forward to see how that works.

From what I have read you really should use a flexable chaulk between the tiles and tub. May still want to use Ditra under the floor tiles, and again chaulk in the floor to wall and tub seams.

Spent the day at the shop on Saturday, my buddy was a real help. Got a lot of what I wanted done, will only show you the big stuff the rest will bore with my thread

That looks scary to me. Wires and I don't get along lol
Ha, yeah me either. I am definitely not looking forward to it going back together and all that will take

Yeah from what I've gathered its best to add grout as a backer between the tub and the tile and then add silicone over it.

I'm definitely a novice when it comes to tile work. The saving grace is the 2 months I spent installing hotel pools in High School and my wife watching YouTube 🙂

I am a novice with this too and been conducting a lot of research. If you read my bathroom thread you know the big cluster F I am dealing with.
