Thats okay, I've got tractors too...But it isn't orange and doesn't have a chain....
This one was a compromise purchase for me. People are asking stupid money for tractors right now. I get inflation is real, but, I'm seeing non-pto riding mowers mostly listed at 80-100% of MSRP that are 10 years old.Thats okay, I've got tractors too...

Unless you're the waterboy these aren't cars, shouldn't be affected by ridiculous used car wholesale prices.
I came pretty close to buying a deere 455 with the 40 series loader and a 54" belly mower. At least it had utility even if it was about 2500 more than it would've been 2 years ago. But in the end I really wanted to dump more money into the new house than equipment for the time being.
I think it cleaned up pretty well. Here's the literal 'barn find' as it looked right before loading it onto the trailer, before washing it.

So far so good. Our last pony is still around, except, haven't been able to find a compatible deck for it to save our lives (outside of $700 in brand new parts) and the old one is shot. Made it through 9 years of mowing 2 cleared acres at one site and 4 cleared at another on a 42" deck...Looks like it cleaned up well. Yeah, spend your money on the house for now. We ran that small Cub Cadet for 15 years, maybe a bit longer, before upgrading to the bigger 3000 Series Cub. The rest of those tractor were just flippers.
You can choose to season the sauce. I usually do. Onion and garlic powder, black and cayenne pepper, paprika, Lea and Perrin's Worsctesucsususreure sauce... and a cup of ketchup as a base.
The rub is paprika, cayenne and black pepper, salt, and onion powder.
