Best start would be to pull the assembly. Clean, lube, and re-install. Paying particular attention to the circuit board, its connections, and to the ground strap. I have a fixed a couple over the years just by doing this. Although if that does not work the circuit board is the likely culprit

buying a new motor would be money out the window, what i need is to be able to turn my wipers of and park them. the car won't pass inspection otherwise, if buying that 48 dollar unit would fix the problem i'd buy it, problem is the total will be 100 dollars+ with tax and shipping... 🙁 🙁

is this part "ANCO Windshield Washer Pump 61-19" a pump and motor with the circuit?" i already replaced my pump a few weeks ago, and the motor and pump works fine.

I'll look into this more and do some electrical testing etc...

When i turn the switch to the next position to the right after mist and "off" the vipers will park, and restart again (slowly)

did you not read the entire page on the link??

Steve,
I know that the washer pumps are available, but I don't think the delay/ pulse circuit board is, nor is it included with the pump.

Hakon,
I would first open up the wiper motor and make sure it has the ground strap connected and grounded properly. Also, when you have the cover off to access the circuit board, check the board for scorching or loose solder joints. I've heard that some of these boards can be remedied by re-soldering some connections.

I forgot you are in Norway. That circuit board fits alot of cars, is there not car parts store in Norway that carries that part? If your stuck them one of us can get the part for you and ship it.

I thought the board comes with that part number...I give up, I'm taking the rest of Monday off..

I'll check it out Jack, thanks guys!
There are a few american parts stores in Norway but they have limited supplies and typically only the most common parts, and the special parts typically only fits the common american vehicles, such as Chevrolet C/K1500, Jeep Cheroke etc. I found switches for sale for 73-77 chevelles and caminos and K5 trucks. I also found GM truck 1991-02 wiper motor with delay, for 140$ 😛 ... Norway isn't cheap either..

Steve,
I think you're right that this part fits a number of vehicles. I think what also confused you, is that the circuit board is not sold separately...or the board only. It 's usually combined with the cap..

If it helps you guys to help me 🙂 haha, i should add that when i changed my windshield washer pump i also fiddled an awful lot with my viper switch to see if i could get any life out of the original pump (its still in the assembly but not wired) I can also point out that whilst trouble shooting the other day right after the vipers wouldn't shut of I discovered that a really "shady" looking cable was really hot (it looks modified). It went under the hole motor viper assembly.. I still haven't checked grounds and whatnot, will do that tomorrow (its late here)
