We have an election coming up and I'm hounding the politicians to put a "none of the above" option on the ballot. The politicians developed this system to benefit themselves and there will never be a politician allowed by other politicians to change the rules of their game. We get more people voting for the lesser of the evils instead of voting for someone so the politicians are scared to have the none of the above option. The system needs changing

I drive 100 miles round trip to work. I ocassionally drive the cutlass which gets 10mpg(driving it easy). And at $4 for super it gets kinda pricey. Between my V6 s10 and my wifes grand cherokee I6. Ive been spending alittle over $600 a month on gas between the both of us. I was spending about $150 less during the winter. I don't wanna know what it'll be like once gas hits $5/gallon. I work in NJ and at least I can still find it for $3.65 unlike PA which is $3.80ish

I heard on the news today some Congressman said, "Somebody needs to do something to reign in these speculators". What a dickwad, the Congress let the speculators slip right through their fingers when they allowed a postponment on the Banking Reform Bill last year. EVENTUALLY when it kicks in, speculators will need to use their OWN money to bid, not borrowed money, and actually have to take possesion of the oil.

that's why I say the system has to be changed cause the politicians who formulated the current system for their own benefit will never be changed from within

We need some changes on every level, and I'm not talking the kind that the left voted for. This is a little off topic but yesterday I read that the U.S. is giving the Libyan rebels $25M in non-lethal aid. Amidst all of the uncertainty, unemployment, plunging property values, overseas outsourcing, failing infrastructure and outrageous gas prices; what the hell are they thinking? It's really time to quit pissing around in international affairs and start taking care of our own for once.

It is all about greed and greed will be the down fall of this nation among other things
make the regular working people pay for everything,it is the govmnt's fault we have probably 100 years worth of oil right here in the US,if the US Govt. & big business wasn't so clueless they would have started working on alternative power sources in the 70's when it all started,I remember waiting in line for gas even spending the night in the shell of my truck to be first in linein the morning there weren't many 24 gas stations then, there is no reason why vehicles can't run on variety of fuels, with technology we have,it is rediculous,& how much they spend just on trying to find life on other planets there is no life on any other planet in OUR solar system, there is so much wasted in this country and the little people like us have to pay for it,I remember in the 60's when gas was 24 & 25 cents a gallon and they had what they called gas wars, why couldn't things be like that now ? it is going to get worse before it ever gets better and is because this nation and many others have fallen away from our Creator
Good luck everyone with your projects

(sigh) I'm glad the weather's nicer. The ol' mountain bike and my big butt are getting re-aquainted.. ..I just have to figure out how to carry my fishing rod up to the bay without spearing someone.

Yea, it looks like i might be bringing out the mountain bike for this summer as well. Also tuning up the ol' bmw to try and squeeze some better mileage out of her. Tall geared cars are great on the highway, but back here in the boondocks she has a hard time with steep hills.

the barrel dropped to under $100 today....wonder what excuse they'll use not to drop the gas price accordingly.. :?
