currently in mid east pa its $3.75-3.79 for regular and $3.95-.99 for 93. I run straight 110 octane race gas in my 350 and thats at $8 a gallon, pretty soon pump gas will be more expensive than my 110.

I'm so glad my daily driver has a small v6 with overdrive trans 8)

It just hit $4 here. And then I hear Saudi Arabia is planning on cutting back on production because DEMAND is down. Then I heard on the news that the speculators are jumping ship like the rats they are because the $4 price is causing people to actually cut down on driving so since they can't squeeze any more blood from a stone they are dumping the oil futures. Why do I get a mental picture of fat cats dancing around playing musical chairs and the payoff is millions in oil profits at our expense?

Lol. As long as this civil war crap is going on in N. Africa the speculators are having a field day. You'll know when the speculators bail because the price will drop again and panic will ensue in the market. Plus, haven't you heard? We have a republican-majority house now, so magically things are starting to look up and business can resume.

Inb4 someone blames Obama for singlehandedly causing high gas prices. Doh, too late!

Sort of back on topic... when I was in Japan last month, gas prices IIRC were somewhere around ¥150/liter in Kyoto, which works out to close to $7.50/gal. Of course this was a few days after the quake, but geographically distant so it may have been artificially high.

Filled up this morning in OK for $3.49/gal...

Yea gas prices are getting to be a pain again. I was just looking to buy a v8 gbody cutlass and gas starts going up again, of course. Looks like im sticking with my current ride and fixing it until I can get out of school.

GP403, don't worry, the teabaggers and treehuggers are trying to send us back to the late 1800's as a society so we may be bitching over the price of horse shoes and buggy whips soon. It looks like the Amish were ahead of the curve all along.

I just heard on the radio they are cutting back on oil production in the middle east cause they have a surplus that they can't find any buyers for.... :wtf:

if they have a surplus then the prices should be dropping but the US and Canadian governments do dick all since they love collecting the taxes on the high priced gas

And to add insult to injury, Exxon-Mobile, the highest profiting corporation in the history of the world-paid no taxes.
