That's what pisses me off. I've learned, or more accurately I didn't have to learn because I'm smart enough to have known already, but I still have to suffer due to others stupidity and mistakes. I've always resented being lumped together with the 'average consumer' because I've always shown myself to be a hell of alot smarter than Mrs and Mr 'in debt up to my eyeballs and driving a huge SUV' People need to wake up.

The wife got groceries last weekend and spent over $50 ,so Safeway gives a 10 cent a gallon discount.
They won't sell you more then $100 tho.. So we filled up all our gas cans and both cars. I put some stabil in them and will use the cans as needed. Saved a little bit ,these days anything will help

On the plus side of all this, I hope there will be fewer huge boats on the water this summer. You know, the ones that cost more than your house and mine together. The ones that fly around pulling a HUGE wake in a 5mph zone upsetting everything and everyone because they are just too important to care about anyone else. Even the rich cringe at a $1,000 fuel bill and I must say that in 08' and 09' it was a pleasure to go fishing without the obnoxious morons creating havoc on the water. I have a small outboard skiff that gets incredible mileage and I take my Grandson fishing as much as I can. I look at it as a silver lining to the gas price storm clouds.
A friend of mine just posted this to facebook -- I guess this local gas station is tired of changing the prices so they just put it to what it will be in a month or two at the rate its been climbing here -- FYI its supposed to be 3.59 (which is nuts initself) someone must have dumbthumbed it or maybe just making a joke.
Cyrus, doesn't Iran export oil? You would think you'd be getting gas dirt cheap. In other news, the US govt is "thinking" about maybe limiting the amount of oil speculators can bid on. A recent CBS report interviewed a speculator who freely admitted he had no plans to take posession of the oil he was buying. He was only "in it for the money". Meanwhile oil/gasoline reserves in the US remain at a 21 year high.
last year the gasoline price was 0.4$ and 2 years ago ... 0.1$ ... 3 years ago 0.08$
that 's why we hate ahmadinejad .... Iran GOV exporting oil ... but Iran GOV stealing the money from people direct and easily too.
the profit of selling the gasoline to iranian people is more than exporting the oil .
i am sure about 1$ next year and we 'll say oh shitttttt from 0.08$ to 1$ after 4 years .

Who else is feeling the pinch? What a $hit time to build a 455 too. At this rate, the summer is going to be shot for enjoying anything.
