run issue may be timing or a vacuum leak....

UPDATE.

The engine is in and running.
A few questions, please answer.
My ignition/key will not turn back to lock it will not no matter how hard you try.

Either your linkage from the column to the trans isn't hooked up, or it's WAY out of adjustment.
Turn the collar of the steering column counter-clockwise where the shifter would be if it were a column shift.
The key will not turn fully back and release until the column is fully in the 'park' position.

Okay awesome, I will go check my vacuum line and I will go turn the column.
I appreciate this all guys, sorry for all the dumb questions.

no questions are dumb...that linkage problem could be a missing bushing so make sure the bushings are there and that it's hooked up properly before you make any adjustments...and it's not hard to adjust it if that's what it needs

Remove the cover/ac vent under the steering column. there is a small metal clip that's pushed on to the end of the lower part of the bowl. It turns when you shift gears pulling on a small cable or string. Push the clip off carefully and move it to where your indicator needle needs to be

Okay sounds pretty easy, I appreciate this.
Thanks for the pictures as well helps.
I will go do that now, Thanks again.

I am glad to see its coming together bud. All those "problems" are just typical things you deal with when playing with cars. Now that you got a 350 in there your gonna have a smile on your face when you crack the throttle open haha. Gonna be a HUGE upgrade from the worn 3.8.
