I put a new sticker on the plate so I can drive it. Got pulled over on Saturday for the expired sticker and there is a benefit to old age, the officer must have believed me when I said I forgot it so he just said to have a nice day... 😀

well not "today", but -- installed a Rallye instrument cluster on my 1984 Cutlass - rellay happy to understand what's happening under the hood. Used LED's everywhere during the conversion :

On my 79 Cutlass , replaced my water pump and the original timing chain and gears.. the cam sprocket was still the nylon one and was cracked all around.117,000 miles on the original chain and gears

this last friday, I'd finally procrastinated enough, and started the turn signal switch on my steering column change. I'd found this one in a 85-ish monte ss that had been hacked apart by more than 1 sawzall... oddly the floorshift-steering column was still in place, only without the turn or tilt stalks,wheel, or usuable lock cylinder. got the switch and lock changed over friday afternoon, and the dye done yesterday.

Fabricated a new exhaust pipe (driver's side) from the exhaust manifold to the muffler using four 45 degree elbows, some straight pipe, one 90 degree elbow and a mig welder.

I also received in the mail from Amazon the following: i.) Standard PS-64 Oil Pressure Switch with Light with three ("3") contacts; and ii.) ACDelco PT139 Female 3-Way Wire Connector. I am going to install the PS-64 in place of my AC Delco D1811 so that I can use the extra contact for an idiot light as a ground for an idiot light. I am NOT getting rid of the gauges. I just want a light to come on if the oil pressure is low so that I will be reminded of this situation in two different ways.
