Just to keep my reputation for being lazy I got a infrared repeater to use with my car radio.....I wired up a switch so I can use the radio without the key and put a diode in the switched wire so there is no feedback. So now while camping this weekend I can use the radio remote to do what I want with the radio and then when I'm done shut the radio off with the remote and hit the remote locks which sets the alarm and the window module puts the windows up...all from the comfort of my lounge while holding a beer...had a glitch however, I had the wiring all done and went to grab a burger and fries. Then the right channels cut out so I checked the amp and all five channel rca's were in tight so I slid the radio out and the 3 sets of rca's were in tight as well....couldn't figure out the problem so I drove to my Jeep and removed the radio from my winter beater and put that in my car. All the channels worked in my car with that radio so I put the radio from my car into the Jeep and all 4 speakers worked so I guess I blew the rca's in the radio that was in my car. I'm glad I have the same alpine 9835 in each of my rides...
