Tried out my new toy, a welder, and got the last broken bolt out of my donor engine. It was my first attempt at welding, and somehow, I got the job done. I tried several times to weld a nut on, but that didn't work. I did manage to build up the bolt so that I could knock it around with the chisel to break it lose. The bad part is that my eyes hurt from not getting the visor down fast enough one time too many.

I changed the headliner. Old one was sagging, and the car came with another. I Broke one trim clip but got it back together ok.
Now I'm thinking about adding LED interior lighting. I'm debating between red for looks and white for logic ..... Might just do both on a toggle switch.

I had developed a problem with my tail lights acting funky, not working at times, or dim, or feeding back voltage on my back up lights
here in this pic with the brake lights on and you can see a dim back up lamp bulb, which shouldnt be on, and none of my other marker lights were affected, After isolating the problem to the tail light harness, i as able to manipulate the harness and get the lights to flicker, it ended up being a corroded ground splice pack, not terrible but enough to cause a problem, i cut the splice pack out and resoldered them back up, all is good now!

Having not done this before, I didn't understand the problem of trying to start a weld blind. Now I get it. I am done welding for a while, but I won't be playing around with my eyesight again. However, I should be fine. It reminded me of being a kid at summer camp when we were playing around with the strobe flash at night.

Even though my carbs are working great according to my butt I'm tweaking them so I'll be happy with them according to my A/F gauge at all rpms. This is why I would never buy a new car cause I can't leave stuff alone....:blam:
