Decided to pull my Megasquirt system out and put the Edelbrock 650 back on. I like the Megasquirt system, but it never seemed like I could keep it dialed in once the temperature changes. I would rather deal with carb than have a lean-out burn a hole in a piston.

I have the fuel pump switched back over today and will tackle the engine compartment tomorrow, after the garage airs out a little bit.

Want a MPFI Vortec intake for a good price? Then you can just add a universal Holley Terminator X and go.

I think I am going to revisit the fuel injection idea in the spring with a factory 0411 computer, but the carb will be fine for now. Luckily, the U-Pull yards in St. Louis have a lot better inventory when it is cold out.

I struggled with this too. I blame the factory supplied IAT values that they claim are perfect. Fuel temperature also screwed with me a lot.

I even backed off their correction table quite a bit, and it still wouldn't work properly. Like 1 point of AFR for every 10 degrees kind of off.

Huh, yeah I screwed with mine and never got it right, but I was in Okinawa where the temp didn't swing that far season to season so just lived with it. Fat in the cold lean in the summer?

Too late now, but I used a 90° ratcheting screwdriver to loosen the screws. My plan is to install the speakers before the dash goes in to avoid fighting them.

The speaker screws wasn't an issue

Getting those grills off without damaging the dash was the problem

I took apart the dash after trying to lift them up and popped them up from underneath.
