has anyone else been having thread issues where it starts at the beginning instead of taking you to the last read post in a thread? It happened to me in this thread today and another thread. Only seems to happen in long threads. GP403

I went in and split these threads up by years where it wasn't done yet, so they don't have all the posts that were in them, so the number gets reset. It should go back to normal once you've been in the thread again.

Discovered an interesting problem today, found the M/C solenoid travel on my carb is too short, only 5/64 travel. It should be closer to 4/32 travel which rounds to 1/8th. Calculating the measurements out, I believe the problem is at least partly caused by the thin airhorn gasket which is only 3/64th thick. The thick airhorn gaskets that are supposed to be for warped airhorns are 1/16 thick which should increase solenoid travel to without adjusting its stops.

So with anytime you either rebuild a CCC Qjet or just replace the airhorn gasket you better check its thickness and how it affects M/C solenoid travel. Gasket thickness can raise or lower the airhorn which in turn affects the M/C solenoid travel, IAB adjustment, and the TPS adjustment.

Went to look at a buick 350. It was trash. Flaking rust in the crankcase, but sprayed all pretty on the engine stand.

Scammers are everywhere.

Have an '83 Buick that needs something stuffed home.....

Imagine the chaos that would ensue if they were painted!
Let's not get carried away, baby steps.
Seriously though it looks so much better.
