It looks great !! Nothing more exciting than seeing your car with a fresh paint job !
True statement man! The shop was supposed to call before they started on it, but he surprised me with the call Friday that it was painted already!!! I truly was a nervous wreck with anticipation until I could stop by and check it out!!!!
Honestly, I was like a kid on Christmas and had a ear to ear grin when I saw it, and have had one since 😀!!!!

Scott,
Car looks gorgeous, Nice pick on the color!
I would hope that the body shop would at least wait for you to unmask it so it would give you that real "kid on Christmas" feel!
Looking forward to the updates on the assembly process.

Thanks a bunch! The main reason it was still taped up was the owner wanted to go over the bodywork flaws(they didn't do any of the bodywork) to see if I was okay with the results. Some of the issues I knew would be there, some showed up when the paint was baked (some minor solvent pop on the roof from my bodyguy using old methods). The solvent pop won't be noticed outside, and if issues arise down the road I know the paintshop will fix it better than before.

It will be more excitement once I pick it up because the buff job will be complete, as well as the mirrors and spoiler being painted. Also, it will be untaped and the moment I can get pics out in the sunlight to show the heavy metallic in the color I will be on it!
As mentioned, I have a whole trunk full of trim and boxes of parts on standby as soon as it gets back to my brother n laws garage!

Be glad they got it right the first time ! Not like the fiasco I went through with my wagon ! LOL

They did it right, but the bodyguy did some things I wasn't really sure about....but I didn't have to pay much of anything out of pocket for all the bodywork. There was alot of trading/bartering to get it done so I can't complain really! Down the road if issues arise with the paint, I will suck it up and have the shop that sprayed it redo it the proper way with the level of skill they have in hand! I've seen black hotrods they've done that look ridiculously deep with color/clear.
