Went to a carshow this morning literally 2 blocks from the house! It was the 1st show put on by this club and they killed it, over 250 cars showed up! Dude with a GN ended up parking next to me for a short bit, thing needed a huge cleaning!...

good to see it back out in the wild
Thanks, good to actually get some drive time on it. Nowhere near as nice as a certain yellow ute, but it is good to be driving a G body again. I was going to post an out-the-windshield shot, but no speedo and dirty hood (2 miles of dirt "gravel" road). Maybe another time after a bath before the trip home.

I never realized how much difference there is between the wagon's taller windshield, and the coupe's lower, laid back windshield. The seats also seem a lot higher than the tired wagon bench.

If it stays, I'm going to have to look seriously at overdrive. Could swap to a 2.73 axle from under the 2 door wagon, but OD would give me almost exactly the same final drive, but retain the low end pep.

It's funny (to me, anyway) how driving late-model stuff has ruined me...I used to think nothing of driving stuff on the highway at 3000RPM or better, now I'm freaking out about 3000RPM @ 60 MPH..

Picking at the white New Balance from your yawn chair? I used to wear those. I wear the black ones now. 🤣

it's true in/out of late models you never think of that you just put it in drive and don't think much of it after that.in the older rides I'm listening for every noise/paying attention.I'm happy i went with the od.
