Joe,
Thanks for the additional pics indicating the chamfer and drain back hole. I could see where drilling the hole oversize could invariably enlarge the chamfer.

If you are using sockets to install the bushings make sure you have a trans parts store nearby or don't mind ordering new ones. I chews up a few doing it with the socket. But for $3 I just went and got another.

Here are some instructions on the drilling the drainback.

This morning I enlarged the drain back holes as the diagram Texas t posted shows. I started with the 1/4 then finished with the 5/16. Very easy and fairly quick since it's aluminum.

Yesterday I received the hardened rings and spring from trans go. I should receive my pump teflon bushing Monday or Tuesday.

Here are some pics

Front of pump

Back of front half pump

Inside of second half of the pump. Make sure to drill all the through next to bolt hole

Thanks for the detailed pics, Joe.
At least you're showing progress.

Thanks to Rich for posting the drainback instructions.

You sure have guts, with the thickness I'd want to use a drill press to do those holes to be sure they're straight...
