I started to clean up the mess that is my engine bay. This is just with citrus degreaser, microfiber cloths, a plastic bristle brush, and a "bucket-o-towels." She also has new plugs, wires, pcv valve, and air filter. I made and crimped my own battery, starter, and alternator cables- upgraded to 2 AWG and 4 AWG as well. Added a new powermaster 150 amp alternator too- just for good measure. View attachment 112096 View attachment 112097
Lookin good.

Regal passed 100,000 miles tonight. Did some celebratory donuts and my shock came off.

Tied a rag around it to get it home, and it popped back off coming in the driveway.

That's about it.

Also, disregard the oil. It may have happened last saturday when I was driving for an hour and a half at 3000rpm. It hasn't lost any since I added a quart I had in my trunk a week ago when it happened. The engine... is not tight. She got some blowby I guess. Enough to push out a rope seal I admittedly cut too short when I put it in. This engine was only meant to last a year before it would be pulled out and A) Sold or b) Actually rebuilt to the factory spec of 315hp/410ftlbs, 10.25:1... But I digress.

car does great donuts btw

Finally got my crank polished, and bought some new Mahle Clevite bearings to replace the ones that were junked by the trash that went through my freshly built engine  but that was 2 years ago. Glad to finally have the time and money to get back to working on my G body :)
