What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

I replaced the timing set on the Bonneville before we went on vacation. When we returned earlier this week, I installed the freshly rebuilt carb.
CRAP...problem not fixed. Engine ran, but not very well. As soon as I tried to accelerate it would sputter and pop. I figured I must have been off one tooth when I installed the cam gear. Timing checks out and the electronic advance appears to be working correctly.
This afternoon I went to check all the basics one more time before tearing everything apart again.
Hmmmm...looks like I switched the #5 and #7 spark plug wires at the distributor. Swapped them back to the proper positions and voila! - runs like a top!
After all these years, I can't believe I can still make such a dumb mistake.

Drove the Malibu to the exhaust shop on open headers, damn I wish that was legal lol. Just waiting on that and the insurance company to call me back. And should have it on the road this afternoon.
Well I finaly got everything hooked up on my 1980 olds cutlass(I did a 403 swap on it) Anyway its been I think 3 years since I last drove this cardue to pulling the engine out of it an not having time to put the 403 in there.. well I did end up putting the 403 into the car earlier this year and Today I finaly hooked up all the wires and add fluid to the car. I fired it up and unlike my other swaps this one does not want to stay running.. anyway I thinkmy timing is off. am gonna try messing with it on saturday and hope to get my baby at least idling proper...I am almost completely done with the swap .. all left to do is hook up the TV cable and the gas peddle ... I will leave dat for nx year since am gonna change the carb and I got to figure out the timing..

I think the wheel came from a mid-80's Firebird. It's been hanging in the garage for years...

I changed the oil in my 83 and got the exhaust leak fixed. It finally sounds like it should again two weeks with an exhaust leak is awful.
well its on! I finaly got my 1980 olds cutlasss RUNNING!!Yepp!! Its running.. a weekened swap took me 3 years maybe more because of other projects and a torn acl ...I messed with the timing a little today and final I got TDC and boom bangbang!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I need now is a good carb, I need to hook up the tv cable and am good to go. have not driven the car as yet . car will be driven next Year.Its a wrapp for the year.... On My other G body 's I took the carpet of one .. And I drove my 442 today ..
